LA CARRETA
a cozy restaurant founded on October 21, 1984, resembling a typical
Coast Ranch-House in the heart of San Isidro’s Commercial
Center, Av. Rivera Navarrete No. 740, San Isidro; elegantly decorated
in colonial style, where tradition lives in every corner; with objects,
paintings, details that enrich part of our cultural heritage, where
you can appreciate the quality and the different touch in each of
its barbecues prepared with selected beef cuts. You can also taste
the rich Peruvian cuisine, the pastas and best quality fish.
La
Carreta, a party to taste, an attraction for the eyes,
is the meeting place for business and friends.
The chef offers a modern international
menu, he daily experiments with the enjoyable fusion of taste and
colors of the Peruvian cuisine, furthermore including different
ingredients from popular cooking, creating very special dishes with
a lot of flavor, such as the exquisite TENDER DUCK WITH RICE as
prepared in the northern coast, CHICKEN STEW WITH HOT PEPPERS and
many more.
For all occasions, LA CARRETA,
whether for lunch or dinner, invites us to taste a delicious SALAD
BAR, made of fresh vegetables and sauces for extra fiber and for
longevity.
LA CARRETA, specializes
in barbecue meats, our best are: Sausage Steak, Baby Beef, Roast
beef, Filet Mignon and Sirloin Steak.
Sirloin
and Chicken brochettes, our own homemade brochettes and our famous
skewers.
We also have pork cuts for barbecue,
sirloin, chops and the famous Piglet on the Spit, which is slowly
roasted while our guests watch until it gets crunchy on the outside
and juicy on the inside.
We have sausages and blood sausages
specially prepared by us to offer you the best in the market.
Among the chef’s suggestions
you can taste the CARRETA FILET MIGNON, with four side orders, prepared
with high quality sirloin and accompanied by a mixture of mushrooms
in Manchego cheese cream, caramelled carrots, steam cooked baby
green beans, and rosti small potatoes. Another suggestion is the
Baby Beef with a fusion of the right flavors, leaving a delicious
after taste.
From
our pastas we can mention the stuffed mushroom tortellini, the gnocchi
all’arrabiata, lasagnas, etc. We must not forget those provided
by the sea, such as the Pepper Tuna, Salmon with black butter and
capers and the grilled Sword Fish.
We have a variety of more that 40
delicious desserts, always prepared with fresh fruits, with great
care and dedication specially our famous old Lima desserts, such
as the Sweet Milk and Rice, Lima Sigh, Corn Starch Pudding and others.
We
must not forget to mention the Private Room “PRIVAO”,
with a capacity for 24 persons, where you can enjoy good food and
